Australia-RI business meet

JAKARTA (JP): Around 200 Indonesian and Australian businessmen
will meet in Semarang, Central Java, for three-days beginning on
May 1 to discuss new opportunities for investment and trade
deals.

The businessmen will meet at the 22nd annual conference of the
Indonesia-Australia Business Council, Sasongko Tedjo, the
spokesman for the council said in Semarang yesterday.

Sasongko said three Indonesian ministers-- Coordinating
Minister for Trade and Industry Hartarto, Post,
Telecommunications and Tourism Minister Joop Ave and Agriculture
Minister Sjarifuddin Baharsyah-- and Australian Trade Minister
Bob McMullan are scheduled to address the meeting.

The meeting will discuss tourism, telecommunications, banking,
manufacturing and construction. (vin)
