i've actually done some fairly detailed research into the question of foreign medical workers in indonesia. basically, it is theoretically possible, however the conditions are so ridiculously stringent that very few ever make it.

why? very simple. the local medical fraternity hates foreign doctors, as they so easily show them up for the dangerous incompetents they really are.
