Audi RS5 Proves a Hit in Europe
Jakarta (ANTARA) – German carmaker Audi has recorded strong sales of its RS5, which has sold twice as many units as the company projected in Europe.
CarsCoops reported on Thursday local time that the 2026 model-year production run had sold out.
The achievement is a notable signal for the high-performance car market, as Audi has changed the RS5 formula by introducing a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) system.
Audi has not disclosed how many units have been ordered or how many vehicles were allocated for production in 2026.
However, the company said the launch of the latest RS5 was the most successful in the model’s history.
With this configuration, the RS5 can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour in 3.6 seconds, while its top speed can reach 285 kilometres per hour.
The PHEV system uses a 25.9 kWh battery. Electrification is not only part of Audi’s strategy to move towards lower-emission mobility, but is also paired with the performance character that defines the RS family.
In Germany, the RS5 Sedan starts at €106,200 (Rp2.1 billion), while the RS5 Avant starts at €107,850 (Rp2.2 billion). Both are manufactured at Audi’s facility in Neckarsulm, Germany.
