Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Audi E7X electric SUV is reported to make its public debut at the Beijing Auto Show 2026, which commences on 24 April.

According to a report by Arena EV on Monday (16/2), the Audi E7X was recently photographed undergoing cold-weather road testing in China.

The large electric SUV appeared without any camouflage wrapping. With a dark purple exterior and futuristic design, the Audi E7X stood out strikingly against the white surroundings.

Designed to comfortably transport families, the vehicle measures 5,049 mm in length, 1,997 mm in width, and 1,710 mm in height, with a wheelbase exceeding three metres.

The Audi E7X is nearly as long as the Audi Q7, but its flat floor makes the interior feel considerably more spacious.

The vehicle is available in two performance variants. The base model uses a single rear electric motor producing 402 hp (300 kW), whilst the Quattro version is equipped with dual motors providing all-wheel drive with a combined output of 671 hp (500 kW).

In its highest motor configuration, the SUV can reach a top speed of 230 km/h.

The car comes with two battery options: 100 kWh and 109.3 kWh. Range varies between 615 km and 751 km, depending on motor and battery configuration.

The vehicle’s advanced 800V system enables ultra-fast charging. The car can add approximately 320 km of range with just ten minutes of rapid charging.

The E7X’s interior is expected to resemble the E5 Sportback, featuring a 27-inch 4K resolution display stretching across the dashboard and an artificial intelligence-based assistant.

A digital camera-based mirror option is also available, displaying rear vehicle conditions on screens within the cabin.

Although designed specifically for the Chinese market, speculation suggests the Audi E7X could be marketed in other countries in the future.

German manufacturer Audi has partnered with Chinese company SAIC to create a vehicle brand combining German engineering expertise with Chinese technology.

The Audi E7X is the second vehicle from this partnership, following the E5 Sportback launched last year.

The E7X retains several elements from the concept car previously introduced. The front features an illuminated AUDI wordmark instead of the brand’s signature four-ring emblem.
