Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly embedded in the systems driving the economy, transforming business competition, public services, and societal dynamics in Asia. In this context, the ATxSummit—organised by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA)—returns for its sixth edition on 20–21 May 2026 at Capella Singapore, attended by more than 4,000 leaders from over 50 countries.

Through in-depth discussion sessions and strategic dialogues, the ATxSummit highlights AI’s role in innovation, public interest, and digital growth shaping Asia’s future. The agenda focuses on five main themes:

  • The role of AI agent-based systems in transforming the business world

  • Widespread utilisation of AI for public interest and national impact

  • AI’s role in accelerating scientific discovery and embodied intelligence

  • Changes in the world of work, skills, and organisations in the AI era

  • AI governance in practice

Global Leaders Driving Change

This year’s programme involves prominent figures from industry, government, and academia, from those building innovative systems to formulating policies governing AI.

Among them are World Bank Group President Ajay Banga, OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann, AI expert Professor Yoshua Bengio from the University of Montreal, a pioneer in deep learning, and Professor Dawn Song from the University of California, Berkeley, a trusted expert in AI security and machine learning. These speakers will review the application of AI and digital innovation on a large scale to address real challenges, while highlighting the need for alignment between policy, industry, and research amid rapid developments in technologies such as AI agents, physically embodied intelligent systems, and other disruptive technologies.

From the industry side, several global leaders will share perspectives, including NVIDIA Chief Scientist William Dally, Amazon Chief Global Affairs & Legal Officer David Zapolsky, Ant International President Douglas Feagin, OpenAI Chief Revenue Officer Denise Dresser, and Trip.com Group CEO Jane Sun. These speakers will discuss the steps needed to build AI-based companies amid ongoing industry disruptions, as well as strategies to stay ahead when AI transforms business models, operations, and global competition.

Representatives from companies and institutions such as Accenture, Google, Grab, HP Inc., Salesforce, SAP, University of Tokyo, and Tsinghua University will also participate in the ATxSummit, enriching cross-industry and research perspectives.

Kiren Kumar, Deputy Chief Executive of the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore, said: “Technology and collaboration are now key factors in digital economic growth. AI is no longer confined to laboratories but has become part of economic infrastructure. For Asia, this development presents real opportunities. Singapore is at the centre of the Global-Asia network and collaborates with governments, industry players, and researchers to shape the direction of technology development and utilisation in practice. We must ensure that AI is applied responsibly, on a large scale, and delivers real benefits. The ATxSummit brings together global leaders to formulate the right AI applications for Asia and the world.”

Strategic Dialogue Space Over the Past Six Years

Over the past six years, Asia Tech x Singapore (ATxSG) has been a strategic dialogue space in Asia involving policymakers and technology industry players to discuss issues intersecting technology, society, and the digital economy.

As the main session of ATxSG, which is invitation-only, the ATxSummit will be opened on 19 May with a Gala Dinner at Gardens by the Bay, attended by Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam. Singapore’s Minister for Digital Development and Information, Josephine Teo, and the Minister for Smart Nation and Cybersecurity will deliver opening remarks on 20 May at the ATxSummit. The event series will also include more than 25 technical workshops, symposia, industry exhibitions, intergovernmental forums, and business networking sessions. One of the main agendas, the Digital Frontier Forum (DFF), organised with Founders Forum, will bring together more than 100 technology leaders, investors, and government officials to discuss deep tech strategies, AI, and digital growth.

Additionally, the main exhibition and conference session of ATxSG, ATxEnterprise, will take place on 20–22 May 2026 at Singapore Expo, attended by 700 exhibitors and 450 speakers. The agenda will cover strategic issues such as infrastructure investment, digital trust, cross-border connectivity, and responsible AI implementation.
