Atu grabs Jakarta Open title

JAKARTA (JP): National second-tier shuttler Atu Rosalina won
the women's singles title in the Jakarta Open Satellite
Championships at the Bung Karno Sports Complex on Saturday.

Atu crushed Malaysian Ng Mee Fen's dream of taking home the
title after winning convincingly 11-5, 11-1.

Compatriots Ernita and Yunita also squashed Malaysian pair
Amin Norhasikin and Wong Pei Tty 15-3, 15-17, 15-7 to grab the
women's doubles title.

Wiempi Mahardi, a member of the Indonesian Badminton Center,
failed to show off his skills and bowed out to Aditya Sindoro of
Djarum Kudus club 15-11, 15-10.

Men's doubles partners Karel Mainaky and Davis Efraim, who
have both been expelled from the center, had to work hard to
overpower Andreas and Ade Lukas of Jakarta 10-15, 15-11, 15-12.

In an all-center mixed doubles final, Hendra AG and Lita
Nuralita defeated Alven and Yunita 15-11, 17-14. (yan)
