Attorney General's Office Team Present at National Nutrition Agency Office Since Early Morning

Investigators from the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagumn) have been searching the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) offices since the early hours of Wednesday (3/6). According to a security officer at the BGN headquarters, the Attorney General’s team arrived at the office at 02:00 WIB.

During the search at the BGN office located in Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta, several vehicles belonging to the Attorney General’s team were observed at the site. The building was cleared of employees during the process, with staff seen waiting outside the office perimeter.

The Attorney General’s Office has confirmed the search. “The Special Crimes investigators (PIDSUS) of the Attorney General’s Office did indeed conduct a search at the BGN office,” stated the Acting Head of the Attorney General’s Office Legal Information Centre, Mochamad Jeffry, via text message on Wednesday.

The search took place just one day after President Prabowo Subianto dismissed the Head of the BGN, Dadan Hindayana. When asked whether the dismissal was related to allegations of bribery involving the Nutrition Service Fulfillment Units (SPPG), State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi stated that the matter is currently undergoing an internal audit. “Everything is in the process of an internal audit. This is part of the continuous monitoring and evaluation that we perform,” Prasetyo said at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Tuesday (2/6).
