Attorney General's Office Summons 16 Witnesses in Free Nutritious Meal Programme Corruption Case

The Attorney General’s Office is expanding its investigation into alleged corruption in the management of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme at the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). A total of 16 witnesses were summoned on Monday, 10 August 2026.

Kapuspenkum of the Attorney General’s Office, Anang Supriatna, stated that the examination aims to strengthen evidence and complete the case file. He emphasised that the investigation will continue to be carried out professionally, independently, and accountably, while upholding the presumption of innocence and the principle of prudence.

The 16 witnesses include an expert staff member from BGN, a partner from the West Pejaten Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG), a finance staff member from PT NGS, and directors from several companies, namely PT MDT, PT AJS, PT WMB, PT ACG, PT BCS, PT BMA, PT EC, PT SSA, PT MHT, and PT MTS. Also summoned were representatives from the PRL Foundation, the chairperson of the HJC and HJM Foundation, and an individual identified as MHN.

Previously, the Attorney General’s Office had examined more than 80 witnesses in the case. The investigation is ongoing, with the most recent examination being that of suspect Lodewyk Pusung. Regarding the involvement of a military member, the case has been fully handed over to the Junior Attorney General for Military Crimes (Jampidmil), and the individual’s status remains a witness.
