Attorney General's Office Successfully Auctions 16 Apartment Units and 24 Plots of Land for Rp129.15 Billion
The Attorney General’s Office Asset Recovery Agency has successfully auctioned state-seized goods and execution-seized assets through the Jakarta IV and Bogor State Property and Auction Offices (KPKNL) on Wednesday (29/07/2024). The auction, involving assets from the corruption case of convict Benny Tjokrosaputro, achieved a total sale value of Rp129.15 billion.
According to a press release from the Attorney General’s Office Legal Information Centre, the auctioned objects sold included:
- 16 units of South Hills Kuningan apartments, which sold for a total of Rp38,328,767,411, exceeding the established reserve price by Rp620,000,000. The auction was conducted based on the decisions of the Central Jakarta District Court, the Jakarta High Court, and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia. The objects were sold on an ‘as is’ basis.
“For the 74 apartment units that remained unsold, a re-auction will be conducted,” stated the Head of the Attorney General’s Office Legal Information Centre, Anang Supriatna, as reported on Friday (31/07/2024).
- 24 plots of land, which sold for a total of Rp90,822,010,000, an increase of Rp31,041,000,000 from the established reserve price. This auction was carried out based on the Supreme Court Decision Number 2937 K/Pid.Sus/2021.
“For the 16 plots of land that remained unsold, a re-auction will be conducted,” added Anang.
Furthermore, he explained that the auction was conducted via written offers without the physical presence of participants through the e-Auction electronic system (open bidding) via the https://lelang.go.id domain. The deadline for bids was determined by the server time.
“Overall, the auction results for these two types of assets reached Rp129,150,777,411, or approximately Rp129.15 billion, demonstrating the success of the Asset Recovery Agency in optimising the settlement of criminal proceeds to support the recovery of state losses,” said Anang.
