Attorney General's Office Seizes Mobile Phones and Aircraft in BGN Electric Motorcycle Procurement Corruption Case
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The investigative team of the Jampidmil division of the Attorney General’s Office has seized items ranging from mobile phones to aircraft in relation to the alleged corruption case involving the procurement of electric motorcycles by PT YAT for the management of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme at the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) for 2025-2026.
“Alongside the investigation for criminal prosecution, investigators are also conducting asset tracing. Through this asset tracing, investigators have carried out seizures,” stated the Head of the Legal Information Centre of the Attorney General’s Office, Anang Supriatna, in Jakarta on Friday.
He detailed the seized items, which include five mobile phones, 889 documents, and cash amounting to Rp24.97 billion. Additionally, several vehicles and other assets were seized, including one Textron Aviation Inc aircraft, one Bell 505 helicopter, one Hino vehicle (registration B 9981 BIO), two BYD vehicles, one BYD Dolphin, and one 2025 Lexus LM 500 H 4-seater.
He stated that the aircraft belongs to the company of suspect Andri Mulyono, who serves as the Commissioner of PT ASE and PT YAT.
Furthermore, Anang noted that a team of technical experts from the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya is currently conducting physical inspections and technical testing on the procurement objects, namely the electric motorcycles.
In the corruption case regarding the BGN electric motorcycle procurement, investigators at Jampidmil have named five suspects: Andri Mulyono, Commissioner of PT ASE and PT YAT; YY, Director of PT YAT; AA, Director of PT ASE; GB, Director of PT ASE; and Colonel Cpl Budi Utomo, the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) at the BGN.
Anang explained that the suspects allegedly conspired to manipulate the procurement process, including the selection of winners, technical specifications, the estimated price (HPS), and the comparison companies to ensure PT YAT’s victory.
Additionally, during contract execution, the procurement quantity was altered from the original 25,644 units to 21,801 units. However, according to witness testimony, as of 20 March 2026, the actual work realisation had only reached 2,117 units.
Investigators suspect that handover certificates (BAST) were falsified to state that the work for all 21,801 units had been 100 per cent completed, which was subsequently used to facilitate the payment process.
This series of actions is alleged to have provided illicit benefits to the suspects and/or the corporation PT YAT, resulting in state financial losses. “The total amount of state losses is currently still being calculated by the BPKP,” he added.
