Attorney General's Office Seizes Documents in KSO Governance Corruption Raid

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Attorney General’s Office seized documents during raids on Thursday (17/9) related to alleged corruption involving governance irregularities at PT Minyak dan Gas Bumi (Perseroda) Bekasi during its Joint Operation (KSO) with PT Pertamina EP between 2009 and 2024.

“From yesterday’s seizure, we obtained documents from several related locations, including agreements, Work Plans and Budgets (RKAB), and everything else. We are currently reviewing them,” said the Head of the Legal Information Centre of the Attorney General’s Office, Anang Supriatna, in a statement in Jakarta on Friday.

He stated that further searches were conducted on Friday at two locations within the Jakarta area, though he did not disclose the specific names of these sites.

“All locations are within Jakarta; we are closely monitoring the ongoing developments,” he added.

He further explained that the case was previously handled by the Bekasi District Attorney’s Office. However, due to technical obstacles in the process, the handling of the case was transferred to investigators under the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the Attorney General’s Office.

“The investigation resumed last August, and searches were conducted yesterday. In fact, searches are still being carried out today,” said Anang.

On Thursday (17/9), Jampidsus investigators raided several locations as part of the investigation into alleged corruption regarding the governance of PT Minyak dan Dis Bumi (Perseroda) Bekasi in its KSO with PT Pertamina EP from 2009 to 2024.

The raided locations included the Bekasi City Regional Secretariat (Setda) Office, the Bekasi City Setda Legal Division Office, the PT Minyak dan Gas Bumi Bekasi Office, the Foster Oil & Energy Pte. Ltd. Sampoerna Strategis Office on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Jakarta, the Bekasi City Environmental Office (DLH), and the Bekasi City Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda).
