Attorney General's Office Seizes Assets of Former Special Crimes Prosecutor; Sahroni: Proof of Transparent and Impartial Law Enforcement
The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) ‘Team 9’ has announced the seizure of a total of 38 land and building assets related to the money laundering case involving the former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, Febrie Adriansyah.
Rudi Margono, Chairman of Team 9 and Junior Attorney General for Supervision, stated that the total value of the seized objects reaches Rp 846 billion.
Responding to this development, the Vice Chairman of Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR RI), Ahmad Sahroni, expressed his appreciation for the Attorney General’s Office’s firm approach to handling the case. He noted that the seizure of such a large volume of assets demonstrates that the law enforcement process is being conducted seriously and without bias.
“Commission III appreciates the performance of the Attorney General’s Office, particularly Team 9, for being firm and impartial in handling this case. The seizure of 38 assets with a value reaching Rp 846 billion is certainly not a small figure. This shows that the Attorney General’s Office is capable of handling cases of public concern seriously and maximally. Most importantly, the process must continue to be monitored professionally and transparently,” Sahroni said in a statement on Wednesday, 16 September 202<0xC2>6.
Sahroni expressed hope that the asset tracing does not stop at the 38 assets already seized. He urged Team 9 to continue hunting for other assets related to the case and to ensure that the entire process of recovering losses is carried out in accordance with legal provisions.
“This is a case being monitored by much of the public, so the public certainly wants to see the process brought to a complete conclusion. I am confident that Team 9 will continue to hunt for other assets and uncover the flow of wealth related to this case. Do not stop at these findings alone; trace until all related assets are found and the legal process is fully completed,” said Sahroni.
