The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) conducted searches at the office and residence of a commissioner of the Indonesian Ombudsman (Ombudsman RI). The Kejagung confirmed that the residence searched belonged to Ombudsman RI member Yeka Hendra Fatika (YH).

“Correct, YH,” stated Kejagung’s Chief of Public Relations (Kapuspenkum), Anang Supriatna, when asked for confirmation on Monday, 9 March 2026.

Anang indicated that the searches at both locations were still ongoing. However, he did not elaborate on Yeka’s connection to the case being investigated.

“The searches at his residence—he is one of the Ombudsman commissioners—and at his office today,” Anang stated.

Anang said the searches were related to a bribery case involving a dismissed cooking oil shortage case currently being processed at the Kejagung. He referenced the Ombudsman’s recommendation concerning the cooking oil shortage from several years prior.

“He faces charges under Article 21 for obstruction of investigation and prosecution in that cooking oil case, which resulted in an acquittal,” Anang explained.
