The Director of Investigation at the Attorney General’s Office’s Jampidsus division, Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, stated that the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme should ideally be managed by foundations within each school. However, he noted that these foundations were instead affiliated with Dadan and his associates.

‘The MBG programme should be managed by foundations at every school, but in fact, the foundations appointed as SPPG partners were used as vehicles for crime and are affiliated with officials or employees of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) who do not meet the requirements to be SPKS partners,’ Syarief said during a press conference at the Attorney General’s Office building, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (3/6/2026).

Syarief stated that Dadan, Sony, and Lodewyk are alleged to have manipulated the verification process for the formation of SPPG. Consequently, these SPPGs belong to foundations affiliated with Dadan and others.

‘Nevertheless, they were still appointed through a manipulated verification process on the BGN partner portal, driven by the attention of the suspects,’ he explained.

The Attorney General’s Office added that these SPPG foundations receive billions of rupiah every day. ‘These foundations receive billions of rupiah in incentives daily, and these foundations are affiliated with individuals including DH, SS, and LP,’ he added.

Dadan Hindayana, along with former Deputy Heads of the BGN, Sony Sonjaya and Lodewyk Pusung, have been detained by the Attorney General’s Office. The three were detained after being named suspects in the alleged corruption regarding the management of the MBG programme.

‘The investigation concerns the alleged criminal act of corruption in the management of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme at the National Nutrition Agency for the 2025-2026 period,’ Syarief concluded.
