Attorney General's Office Responds to Acquittal of Three Defendants in Sritex Case
The panel of judges at the Semarang Corruption Court has issued an acquittal verdict for three defendants in the alleged corruption case involving credit for PT Sritex. The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has responded to this acquittal.
The defendants acquitted are former President Director (Dirut) of Bank Jateng, Supriyatno; former Dirut of Bank BJB, Yuddy Renaldi; and Head of the Corporate and Commercial Division of Bank BJB, Dicky Syahbandinata. The trial was held at the Semarang Corruption Court on Friday (8/5/2026).
“Declaring the Defendant not proven guilty of the prosecutor’s charges in their entirety. Ordering the Defendant to be released immediately after this verdict is pronounced,” stated the chief judge Rommel Franciskus Tampubolon during the trial in Semarang, as reported by Antara.
According to the judge, the defendants were not proven to have intervened to ensure the approval of PT Sritex’s credit application. Additionally, the defendants were not proven to have pressured the credit analysis team in that credit submission.
The defendants were not proven to have carried out interventions, and there was no conflict of interest in deciding on PT Sritex’s credit. The judge stated that the defendants were not proven to have abused their authority or position in the credit application.
The judge stated that PT Sritex’s inability to repay the credit was caused by planned manipulation of financial reports. This condition, according to the judge, is not the responsibility of the defendants.
In the case, Supriyatno and Yuddy were demanded 10 years in prison by the public prosecutor. Besides those two names, the judge also issued an acquittal for the Head of the Corporate and Commercial Division of Bank BJB, Dicky Syahbandinata.
On the other hand, the Semarang District Court judge has convicted two former Sritex bosses. The judge sentenced Iwan Setiawan Lukminto (Iwan) to 14 years in prison and Iwan Kurniawan Lukminto (Wawan) to 12 years in prison.
The judge also imposed a fine of Rp 1 billion each on Iwan and Wawan. Iwan and Wawan were also ordered to pay restitution of Rp 677 billion each.
