Attorney General's Office Raids Homes of Suspects in BGN Corruption Case

The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has raided the homes of suspects involved in the corruption case concerning the management of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme under the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) for the 2025-2026 period.

Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, Director of Investigation for the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, stated that investigators searched a total of six locations. These included the BGN offices and the residences of former BGN Head Dadan Hindayana, as well as Deputy Heads Sony Sanjaya and Lodewark Pusung.

“Since last night, we have been conducting searches in several places. In addition to the BGN office, we also searched the residences of the suspects,” he said during a press conference on Wednesday (3/6).

Syarief explained that the search resulted in the seizure of various pieces of evidence, including documents and electronic devices such as laptops and mobile phones.

Regarding the case details, Syarief explained that the MBG programme should have been managed by foundations affiliated with recipient schools. However, he noted that many Food Service Implementation Units (SPPG) were appointed due to their affiliations with high-ranking BGN officials. He stated that these foundations did not actually meet the necessary requirements to become SPPG partners.

“Nevertheless, they were appointed through the manipulation of the verification process on the BGN partner portal, driven by the intervention of the suspects,” he explained.

He further clarified that the scheme was orchestrated by Dadan alongside former Deputy Heads Sony Sanjaya and Lodewyk Pusung. In exchange, the foundations affiliated with the perpetrators received daily incentives amounting to billions of rupiah. “The foundations received billions of rupiah in incentives every day, and these foundations are affiliated with, among others, Mr. DH, Mr. SS, and Mr. LP,” he added.
