The Attorney General’s Office Asset Recovery Agency (BPA) is hosting the BPA Fair 2026 from 18 to 21 May 2026 at the BPA Office in South Jakarta, featuring the auction of 308 state-seized assets divided into 245 lots.

The Head of the Attorney General’s Office BPA, Kuntadi, stated that the BPA Fair represents a milestone in the agency’s transformation to improve transparency and the optimisation of confiscated asset management. “This BPA Fair is not merely an exhibition. It is a new milestone and a new chapter where the BPA ranks declare their transformation, changing their way of working and acting,” Kuntadi said during the opening of the BPA Fair 2026 on Monday (18/5/2026).

Kuntadi noted that previous lack of public awareness regarding where seized goods are stored, who sells them, and how to participate in auctions has led to low optimisation of state-seized assets. “This is a collective task, as public misunderstanding ultimately hinders BPA performance, resulting in state-seized assets not being optimised or utilised by the state,” he added.

He ensured that all auction mechanisms will be conducted openly and accountably to increase public trust in the management of state assets. “We are determined that the sales and management mechanisms must be managed transparently, so that accountability can be demonstrated to the public,” he said.

Kuntadi mentioned that the number of assets being auctioned this year is the largest in a single implementation period. As part of the BPA Fair pre-events since 22 April 2026, the Attorney General’s Office has already recorded several significant sales. One notable example includes land in Tangerang Regency, which had a reserve price of Rp 6.87 billion but was sold for Rp 32.27 billion, approximately 460 per cent of its initial value. Additionally, land in Benoa was sold for Rp 5.6 billion, exceeding its reserve price of approximately Rp 4.8 billion.
