The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has officially named three former high-ranking officials of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) as suspects in an alleged corruption case concerning the management of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme for the 2025–2026 fiscal year. The designation of suspects was made after investigators secured at least two valid pieces of evidence.

The three suspects are the former Head of BGN, DH (Dadan Hindayana); the former Deputy Head of BGN for Organisational Development and Institutional Support, LP (Lodewyk Pusung); and the former Deputy Head of BGN for Nutritional Fulfilment Operations, SS (Sony Sonjaya).

The Director of Investigation for the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, confirmed that the suspect status was determined following intensive interrogations of the trio as witnesses on Wednesday (3/6/2026). “Based on sufficient evidence obtained by the investigative team, the investigators have named the three as suspects,” Syarief stated at the Jampidsus Building in Jakarta.

In his explanation, Syarief revealed that the corruption modus operandi involved the appointment of partners for the Nutritional Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) that did not comply with proper procedures. The BGN is alleged to have intentionally appointed problematic foundations that had direct affiliations with the suspects. “These foundations are affiliated; among them are owned by Mr DH, Mr SS, and Mr LP,” Syarief disclosed. In addition to the appointment of partners fraught with conflicts of interest, investigators also found unlawful procurement processes for goods and services within the BGN environment.

For the purposes of further investigation, the three suspects have been detained for the next 20 days. DH, LP, and SS are being held at the Salemba Detention Centre, under the jurisdiction of the Attorney General’s Office and the South Jakarta District Attorney’s Office.

Prior to the naming of the suspects, the Jampidsus investigative team conducted a search at the National Nutrition Agency office in Central Jakarta on Wednesday morning. The search was carried out to find additional documents and evidence regarding budget irregularities in this national strategic programme. This case has drawn significant public attention as the Free Nutritious Meal programme is a flagship government initiative utilising substantial state funds for public nutrition.

The State Secretary, Prasetyo Hadi, emphasised that the government respects the legal process regarding the search of the BGN office by the Attorney General’s Office. Meanwhile, members of Commission IX of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) have noted that leadership changes within the BGN are a natural step to strengthen the effectiveness of the MBG programme’s implementation.
