Attorney General's Office Names Nine Prosecutors to Handle Case of Former Jampidsus FA

The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has revealed the names of nine prosecutors who will handle the case of alleged corruption and money laundering (TPPU) involving a former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) with the initials FA. During a press conference at the Kejagung Main Building in Jakarta on Wednesday, the Head of the Legal Information Centre (Kapuspenkum), Anang Supriatna, detailed the nine investigators. They are: Financial Inspector II Agus Salim from the Junior Attorney General for Supervision (Jamwas); Head of the North Sumatra High Prosecutor’s Office (Kajati Sumut) Muhibuddin; Head of the Asset Recovery Agency’s Tracing and Confiscation Management Centre Chatarina Muliana Girsang; Financial Inspector I Riyono from Jamwas; Secretary of the Junior Attorney General for General Crimes (Jampidum) Agus Sahat; Director of Legal Considerations at the Junior Attorney General for Civil and State Administration (Jamdatun) Irene Putri; Deputy Head of the Banten High Prosecutor’s Office Rinaldi Umar; Director of Prosecution at the Junior Attorney General for Military Crimes (Jampidmil) Zet Tadung Allo; and Director A at the Junior Attorney General for General Crimes (Jampidum) Hari Wibowo. He stated that most of these investigators are prosecutors who have previously served at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), including Chatarina Muliana Girsang, who formerly served as a public prosecutor and Head of the Legal Bureau at the KPK. Another KPK alumnus is Muhibuddin, who previously served as the Coordinator for Asset Tracing and Execution at the KPK. ‘We will work professionally and in accordance with applicable mechanisms and provisions, particularly procedural law, while upholding the principle of prudence and maintaining the presumption of innocence,’ Anang stated. The transfer of the case was based on an agreement between the National Police and the Kejagung as a form of law enforcement synergy. With the case transferred, a special team consisting of specific individuals was formed by the Kejagung to minimise conflicts of interest with the former Jampidsus FA during the investigation process.
