Attorney General's Office Names Dadan, Sony, and Lodewyk as Suspects in BGN Case
The Indonesian Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has named the former Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, as a corruption suspect. The designation was made by investigators from the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes following an interrogation of Dadan on Wednesday, 3 June 2026. In addition to Dadan, the Attorney General’s Office also named two former Deputy Heads of the BGN, Sony Sonjaya and Lodewyk Pusung, as suspects.
“On this occasion, Wednesday, 3 June 2026, the Jampidsus investigation team, after a series of investigations, has named three suspects in the alleged corruption case involving mismanagement of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme at the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) for the 2025-2026 period,” stated the Acting Head of the Attorney General’s Office Press Centre, Mochamad Jeffry, during a press conference in front of the Attorney General’s Office building in South Jakarta.
Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, Director of Investigation for the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, explained that Dadan, Sony, and Lodewyk were named suspects after being interrogated as witnesses. He noted that the investigators found sufficient evidence to proceed with the charges against the former Head (DH), the Deputy Head of Operations (SS), and the Deputy Head of Organisational Development (LP).
Prior to the announcement, Dadan, Sony, and Lodewey were seen wearing the pink vests used by the Attorney General’s Office to denote detainees and were escorted to a detention centre. The investigation also included a search of the BGN offices by the Special Crimes team.
Reports indicate that the case originated from findings of irregularities in the SPPG procurement project, involving allegations of illegal trading of procurement points by certain BGN officials. Previously, President Prabowo Subianto had dismissed Dadan, Sony, and Lodewyk from their positions due to disciplinary violations regarding the management of the Free Nutritious Meal programme. To fill the vacancies, President Prabowo appointed Nanik S. Deyang as the new Head of the BGN, while Agustina Arum Sari and Major General Trenggono were appointed as Deputy Heads.
