JAKARTA — The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) has commenced an investigation into allegations of price manipulation, or transfer pricing, in palm oil exports.

Previously, Finance Minister Purbaya stated he had reviewed over 15 crude palm oil (CPO) companies and confirmed coordination with Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin regarding indications involving 10 companies. He added that findings were submitted to the AGO and the Financial Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) for further investigation, and is awaiting the results from both agencies.

“Regarding the transfer pricing case, we are currently conducting an investigation, which may take about a month or more,” said Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, Director of Special Crimes Investigation at the AGO, according to Detiknews on Tuesday, 26 May 2026.

“There are several witnesses. We will inform later,” he added.

He noted that data from Finance Minister Purbaya strengthened existing findings by investigators.

“There is data from the minister that complements our existing records,” he said.

He confirmed the case remains in the general investigation stage.

“Yes, still in general investigation,” Syarief said.
