Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — The Attorney General’s Office through the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes of the Republic of Indonesia’s Prosecutor’s Office is recorded as holding a significant number of shares in Indonesian listed companies on the capital market.

The share ownership was revealed through disclosures from the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The Attorney General’s Office is known to hold shares in various business sectors, ranging from transportation, property, trade, to telecommunications.

The presence of law enforcement entities such as the Attorney General’s Office in share ownership is certainly unique.

This is not unrelated to the many cases in the stock market that have led to the seizure of owners’ assets, in this case in the form of shares.

One of the major cases that attracted attention is that of Benny Tjokrosaputro (Bentjok), who was convicted in the Jiwasraya and Asabri cases. Bentjok’s seized assets were valued at Rp 2.4 trillion, some of which were in the form of share ownership.

Then PT Sinergi Megah Internusa Tbk (NUSA) with 2,927,061,900 shares or 38.01%.

In the property issuer, the Attorney General’s Office holds PT Pool Advista Indonesia Tbk (POOL) with 625,918,824 shares or 26.73%. Meanwhile, in PT Hotel Mandarine Regency Tbk (HOME) with 5,479,895,094 shares or 24.67%.

Other significant ownership is in PT Sky Energy Indonesia Tbk (JSKY) with 413,516,733 shares or 20.34%. Then PT Rimo International Lestari Tbk (RIMO) with 8,194,842,171 shares or 18.18%, and PT Marga Abhinaya Abadi Tbk (MABA) with 2,554,310,600 shares or 16.62%.

Furthermore, the Attorney General’s Office is also recorded as owning shares in PT Armidian Karyatama Tbk (ARMY) with 526,952,895 shares or 5.85%. In PT Cahaya Permata Sejahtera Tbk (UNIT), the ownership reaches 3,690,100 shares or 4.89%.

In the telecommunications sector, the Attorney General’s Office holds shares in PT Bakrie Telecom Tbk (BTEL) reaching 1,235,421,231 shares or 3.35%. Then PT HK Metals Utama Tbk (HKMU) with 91,398,700 shares or 2.84%.

In addition, there is also ownership in PT Sugih Energy Tbk (SUGI) with 511,628,140 shares or 2.06%, PT Eureka Prima Jakarta Tbk (LCGP) with 85,772,998 shares or 1.52%, and PT Polaris Investama Tbk (PLAS) with 35,062,335 shares or 2.96%.
