Attorney General's Office Hands Over Rp 11.4 Trillion to the State, Witnessed by Prabowo Subianto
Jakarta - The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) officially handed over funds amounting to Rp 11.4 trillion from administrative fines, state financial recoveries, and the reclamation of forest areas in phase VI to the state on Friday (10 April 2026).
The handover of the funds was witnessed directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, and members of the Merah Putih Cabinet.
“The total amount handed over is Rp 11,420,104,815,858, which will enter the state treasury,” said Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin on Friday.
This amount consists of administrative fines in the forestry sector totalling Rp 7,230,036,440,742, non-tax state revenues (PNBP) from handling corruption crimes by the Republic of Indonesia Prosecutor’s Office amounting to Rp 1,967,867,845,912, tax deposits for the period January–April 2026 worth Rp 967,779,018,290, tax deposits from PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara as of 28 February 2026 amounting to Rp 108,574,203,443, and PNBP from environmental fines totalling Rp 1,145,847,307,471.
In the palm oil plantation sector, since February 2025 until now, the PKH Task Force has reclaimed forest areas covering 5,888,260.07 hectares.
Meanwhile, in the mining sector, the reclaimed forest areas reached 10,257.22 hectares.
In phase VI, part of these forest areas, covering 254,780.12 hectares, was returned to the Ministry of Forestry.
Additionally, land covering 30,543.40 hectares was handed over to relevant ministries and institutions through the Ministry of Finance, then transferred to BPI Danantara and subsequently to PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero).
Attorney General ST Burhanuddin stated that weak law enforcement could lead to the state losing money, assets, authority, and the ability to prosper the people.
“Conversely, strong, intelligent, and targeted law enforcement will improve governance, recover state losses, create a healthy business climate, and provide tangible impacts on the national economy,” added the Attorney General.
According to him, the state must not lose to mafia practices that exploit Indonesia’s forest wealth.
“We ensure that forests, as a gift from Almighty God, are a blessing owned by the Indonesian nation that must be managed and preserved for the interests of the people, not just for the benefit of certain groups,” he said.
