Attorney General's Office Forms Special Team of Former KPK Investigators to Handle Febrie Adriansyah Case
The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has formed a special team to handle three cases of alleged corruption and money laundering (TPPU) that were previously transferred from the Police’s Corruption Eradication Corps (Kortastipidkor). The team consists of nine senior prosecutors, most of whom are former investigators of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
Head of the Attorney General’s Office Legal Information Centre, Anang Supriatna, stated that the special team was formed as a mitigation measure to maintain the independence of the investigation, given that the cases are linked to former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah. “This team consists of 9 people. Most of the investigators are former KPK alumni,” Anang said on Wednesday, 15 July 2026.
He confirmed that no investigators from the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes were included in the team. “There are none from Pidsus. These are active prosecutors who can investigate. They are all ‘stars’,” he added. The nine prosecutors appointed to the special team are Agus Salim, Muhibuddin, Chatarina Muliana Girsang, Riyono, Agus Aahat, Irene Putrie, Renaldi, Zet Tadung Allo, and Hari Wibowo.
Anang also stated that the Attorney General’s Office would continue to coordinate with investigators from the National Police, the KPK, and Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) to ensure the case handling proceeds optimally. The decision to transfer the cases from the Police to the Kejagung was previously described by the Head of Kortastipidkor, Inspector General Totok Suharyanto, as a result of an agreement to strengthen law enforcement synergy.
