Attorney General's Office Examines Ompreng Supplier in MBG Corruption Case

Investigators from the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) have examined an ompreng supplier as a witness in connection with the investigation into alleged corruption in the governance of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme at the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). Head of the Attorney General’s Office Legal Information Centre Anang Supriatna explained that the witness has the initials MA.

He also stated that investigators examined several witnesses from partners of the Nutrition Service Fulfilment Unit (SPPG), namely RSA from the SPPG Partner of East Lampung Regency, S from the SPPG Partner of Ciputat, U from the SPPG Partner of Lebak Regency, and HD from the SPPG Partner of Cibadak. In addition, a private sector employee with the initials SDS was also summoned as a witness.

On Monday (24/8), the Attorney General’s Office examined six people to strengthen evidence and complete the case file on corruption in MBG governance. ‘The investigation process is carried out professionally, independently, and accountably while upholding the presumption of innocence and the precautionary principle,’ said Anang.

In the alleged corruption case concerning MBG governance, the Attorney General’s Office has named seven suspects: former Head of BGN Dadan Hindayana; former Deputy Head of BGN for Organisational Development and Institutional Relations Lodewyk Pusung; former Deputy Head of BGN for Operational Nutrition Fulfilment Sony Sonjaya; Asep Yusuf Soemantri, a private party; Commissioner of PT Yasa Artha Trimanunggal Andri Mulyono; Glory Harimas Sihombing, a private party; and LMI, Secretary of the Deputy for Promotion and Cooperation at BGN.
