Attorney General's Office Entrusts Ferry Hongkiriwang to LPSK for Security and Investigation Purposes

The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) ‘Team 9’ has decided to entrust Ferry Yanto Hongkiriwang, also known as Ferry Boboho, to the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK). This step has been taken to ensure security and to facilitate the investigation into alleged money laundering involving the former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Febrie Adriansky.

On Thursday (30/7), Ferry was reported to have attended a summons to provide testimony as a witness in the case. The Junior Attorney General for Supervision and Coordinator of Team 9, Rudi Margono, informed reporters that the plan to place Ferry under LPSK protection is intended to support the investigation process. ‘To be clear, for the purposes of the investigation, we plan to entrust him to the LPSK,’ said Rudi. He added that the investigators still require Ferry’s testimony as a witness to ensure the smooth progress of the investigation while providing necessary security for the individual involved.

Previously, the Attorney General’s Office named the former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, Febrie Adriansky, as a suspect in a money laundering case related to the discovery of 74 kilograms of gold and Rp543 billion in cash at a residence in Sentul. Rudi Margono stated that the alleged money laundering was carried out by Febrie in his capacity as a prosecutor or structural official during his tenure at the Attorney General’s Office. Most recently, the Attorney General’s Office also named Nurman Herin (NH) as a suspect in the same case, alleging his involvement in the money laundering scheme involving Febrie. ‘Today, based on the consideration of two pieces of evidence, Team 9 has named NH as a suspect,’ added Rudi.
