Attorney General's Office Deploys Special Crimes Investigators to Search National Nutrition Agency Office

The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has confirmed that a search is currently being conducted at the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) office in Central Jakarta. Mohammad Jeffry, the Acting Head of the Legal Information Centre at the Attorney General’s Office, stated that the search is being carried out by investigators from the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes division. “The Special Crimes investigators from the Attorney General’s Office are indeed conducting a search at the BGN office,” he said via text message on Wednesday.

However, he did not disclose further details regarding the specific case being investigated through this search. Jeffry noted that a press conference will be held later to discuss the results of the search. Observations at the BGN office showed several employees waiting outside the office premises during working hours. Staff members who arrived at the location were instructed to remain outside the building while awaiting further instructions. According to information obtained on-site, employees were not permitted to enter the office due to the ongoing activities involving the Attorney General’s Office. A security officer reported that the team from the Attorney General’s Office had been on-site since approximately 02:00 WIB. As of the morning, office services remained suspended, and employees continued to wait outside the building. By 09:00, employees were still arriving but were unable to enter, and members of the media were also prevented from entering the gates.
