Attorney General's Office Continues Raids in Suspected BGN Corruption Case, Names Several Locations
The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) is continuing to search several locations as part of the ongoing investigation into alleged criminal acts of corruption in the governance of the 2025–2026 Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme at the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).
“As for developments, we are still carrying out searches to this day, still continuing in several places. The locations will be announced later, but we cannot disclose them now,” said Director of Investigation at the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, at the Special Crimes building in Jakarta on Thursday (4/6). He stated that the searches are aimed at collecting evidence for the intensive investigation. These searches are a continuation of previous actions where investigators raided the BGN office in Central Jakarta and the homes of the three suspects.
In addition to searching several locations, he confirmed that investigators are still examining witnesses, including vendor parties. “The process is still ongoing, it has only been one day,” he said.
Previously, three former BGN officials were named as suspects in the corruption case. They are former Head of BGN Dadan Hindayana and two former Deputy Heads of BGN, Lodewyk Pusung and Sony Sonjaya. They are suspected of unlawfully appointing affiliated foundations as partners of the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG). Furthermore, they allegedly conducted procurement processes for both goods and services illegally.
For their actions, the suspects are charged under Article 603 in conjunction with Article 20 letter a or c of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code, in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption, as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001. The three suspects will undergo detention for the next 20 days, starting from Wednesday (3/6), at the Salemba Detention Centre branch of the Attorney General’s Office and the Salemba Detention Centre branch of the South Jakarta District Prosecutor’s Office.
