Attorney General's Office Continues Marathons of Searches Following Detention of Dadan Hindayana and Others
The Director of Investigation (Dirdik) of the Jampidsus at the Attorney General’s Office, Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, stated that the search efforts are being carried out to strengthen the collection of evidence. However, he has not yet detailed the specific locations currently being searched by investigators.
“Regarding developments, we are still conducting searches; it is continuing in several locations,” Syarief told reporters at the Attorney General’s Office Circular Building, South Jakarta, on Thursday (4/6/2026).
“As for the locations, we will announce them later, but we do not know yet and cannot disclose them at this time. However, the process of collecting evidence through forced searches in several places is still ongoing,” he continued.
Syarief was unable to reveal whether the searched locations are private residences or corporate offices. His office intends to work intensively over the next two to three days to gather physical evidence.
“We cannot say yet (whether it is a house or a company); it is still ongoing. Our system for the next two to three days is to work intensively to find evidence and conduct marathon searches in several locations,” he said.
Regarding the evidence already secured, Syarfe confirmed the seizure of several items from the workspace of one of the suspects at the BGN office in the Central Jakarta area. The seized items include watches and several mobile phones.
“Yes, those (phones and watches) were found in the workspace of one of the suspects,” Syarief stated.
It is known that, in addition to mobile phones and watches, investigators also seized several important documents and electronic evidence belonging to the suspects during the search of the BGN office.
When asked whether there is electronic evidence regarding the alleged flow of funds to Dadan Hindayana and others, Syarief stated that the authorities are still conducting further in-depth investigations.
“We are still examining that; it is still part of the case material and cannot be disclosed yet. There are several matters we cannot reveal because we are still in the early stages of the investigation,” he concluded.
The Attorney General’s Office has named three former BGN officials as suspects in this case: the former Head of BGN, Dadan Hindayana, and two former Deputy Heads of BGN, Sony Sonjaya and Lodewyk Pusung.
