Attorney General's Office Confirms Search of Ombudsman Member Yeka Hendra Fatika's Home
The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) conducted searches at the office and residence of an Ombudsman RI member. The Kejagung confirmed that the searched residence belonged to Ombudsman RI member Yeka Hendra Fatika (YH).
“Correct, YH,” said Kejagung’s Head of Public Communications, Anang Supriatna, when asked for confirmation on Monday, 9 March 2026.
He stated that the searches at both locations were ongoing. Anang did not clarify what connection Yeka had to the matter being investigated.
“The search at the residence of one of the Ombudsman commissioners and at their office took place today,” Anang said.
Anang stated that the searches were conducted in relation to a bribery case involving a dismissed cooking oil (migor) case that is currently being processed by the Kejagung. He referenced the matter of an Ombudsman recommendation concerning cooking oil shortages from several years ago.
“He is charged under Article 21 for obstructing the investigation and prosecution of the cooking oil case from back then, which resulted in an acquittal,” Anang explained.
