Attorney General's BPA Showcases Luxury Cars for Auction at GBK
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The Attorney General’s Asset Recovery Agency (BPA) of the Republic of Indonesia held the Pre-Event BPA Fair 2026: Car Free Day at Gate 6 of Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (10/5/2026). The event, featuring an exhibition of items to be auctioned, forms part of the Road to BPA Fair leading up to the main event from 18-21 May 2026.
The Head of BPA Kejagung, Kuntadi, explained that the car-free day provides a public space for people from all walks of life. It serves as an ideal opportunity to introduce BPA directly in a relaxed atmosphere, making it easier for people to engage and understand its existence and functions.
“BPA has been operational for two years and has conducted numerous sales of assets. However, many members of the public remain unaware of BPA’s existence and functions. Therefore, through this event, we aim to open ourselves up more to the public,” Kuntadi stated in a press release.
He explained that the BPA Fair 2026 not only seeks to introduce the auction mechanism but also to accelerate the recovery of state losses and the restoration of victims’ rights from the proceeds of criminal acts. The types of items to be auctioned at the BPA Fair are quite diverse, ranging from motor vehicles and various types of bags to jewellery and high-value precious metals. All auction items undergo a curation process to ensure they are relevant and appealing to visitors, and the assets are well-maintained.
“Visitors can view some of the items to be auctioned directly, learn about the auction process, and even create an auction account on the spot with assistance from officers. We are also featuring light and fun activities to bring the public closer to the Prosecutor’s Office, particularly BPA,” Kuntadi added.
