REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The Attorney General’s Office’s Asset Recovery Agency (BPA) has launched BPA Fair 2026, as a means to optimise the recovery of state assets through transparent, accountable, and efficient auction mechanisms. The event marks a new milestone in strengthening public openness regarding the management of assets from law enforcement activities.

The Head of the Law Enforcement Information Centre (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General’s Office, Anang Supriatna, explained that BPA Fair 2026 represents a tangible manifestation of the law enforcement institution’s commitment to transparency, particularly in asset management and recovery. According to him, law enforcement does not stop at prosecution but must also ensure the recovery of state losses.

“This event serves as a medium for public education while addressing various perceptions circulating in society,” said Anang in Jakarta on Wednesday (22/4/2026). The launch was attended by the Head of BPA Kejagung, Kuntadi, Mandiri Bank’s Corporate Director Mochamad Rizadi, BNI’s SVP Rangga Bhirawa, and Bank Syariah Indonesia’s SEVP of Information Technology, Muhammad Misbahul Munir.

Through this event, the public is expected to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the mechanisms for managing assets from law enforcement, which have not been fully publicised previously. Under the theme “Asset Recovery for Perfect Justice,” the event features more than 400 asset items.

The Head of BPA Kejagung, Kuntadi, stated that this inaugural event will run for a full week. The assets offered include various categories, from jewellery, luxury bags, vehicles including sports cars, to artworks such as high-value paintings.

According to him, all these assets have undergone management and maintenance processes to preserve their economic value before being auctioned to the public. “Through this event, we aim to answer the public’s question: where do seized assets go after the case is resolved,” said Kuntadi.

He noted that the implementation of BPA Fair 2026 is open to the general public. The auction process is conducted transparently through an official e-catalogue system accessible to the public. Kuntadi mentioned that based on initial estimates, the value of the movable assets to be auctioned exceeds Rp 100 billion.
