JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin revealed that the Forest Area Control Task Force (Satgas PKH) has saved state funds amounting to Rp 371.1 trillion since its initial establishment.

This was stated during the handover event of administrative fines, state financial recoveries, and the repossession of forest areas in phase VI to the state, on Friday (10/4/2026).

“We need to convey that Satgas PKH, since its formation in February 2025 until now, has successfully carried out the recovery of state asset finances reaching Rp 371,100,411,043,235,” said Burhanuddin at the Attorney General’s Office on Friday.

“Conversely, strong, intelligent, and targeted law enforcement will improve governance, restore state losses, foster a healthy business climate, and provide tangible impacts on the national economy,” added the Attorney General.

He also emphasised the importance of firm law enforcement to maintain national stability.

According to him, the state must not lose to mafia practices that exploit Indonesia’s forest wealth.

“We ensure that forests, as a gift from Almighty God, are a blessing owned by the Indonesian nation and must be managed and preserved for the people’s interests, not just for the benefit of certain groups,” he stated.

The handover of the funds was witnessed directly by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and members of the Merah Putih Cabinet.

“The total amount of funds handed over is Rp 11,420,104,815,858, which will enter the state treasury,” said Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin on Friday.

This amount consists of administrative fines in the forestry sector totalling Rp 7,230,036,440,742, Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) from handling corruption crimes by the Republic of Indonesia Prosecutor’s Office amounting to Rp 1,967,867,845,912, tax deposits for the period January–April 2026 of Rp 967,779,018,290, tax deposits from PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara as of 28 February 2026 of Rp 108,574,203,443, and PNBP from environmental fines of Rp 1,145,847,307,471.

In addition, Satgas PKH has also repossessed forest areas from the plantation and mining sectors.

In the palm oil plantation sector, since February 2025 until now, Satgas PKH has repossessed forest areas covering 5,888,260.07 hectares.

Meanwhile, in the mining sector, the repossessed forest areas amount to 10,257.22 hectares.

In phase VI, some of these forest areas were handed back to the Ministry of Forestry covering 254,780.12 hectares.

These areas include convertible production forests in Ketapang Regency, West Kalimantan, spanning 149,198.09 hectares, Lae Kombih Nature Reserve Forest in Subulussalam, Aceh, covering 510.03 hectares, and the Mount Halimun Salak Forest area in Bogor, West Java, spanning 105,072 hectares.

Additionally, land covering 30,543.40 hectares was handed over to relevant ministries/institutions via the Ministry of Finance, then transferred to BPI Danantara, and subsequently to PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero).
