Attorney General Inaugurates 15 High Prosecutors, Orders Special Attention for Major Cases
Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia ST Burhanuddin inaugurated and led the oath-taking ceremony for High Prosecutors (Kajati) and Echelon II officials within the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung).
The inauguration and oath-taking were held today.
The officials inaugurated today are:

After leading the oath-taking, ST Burhanuddin congratulated the officials who had been entrusted with their new roles. The Attorney General stated that all appointed officials are the best Adhyaksa personnel who have undergone a thorough review process, careful consideration, and objective assessment.
Burhanuddin explained that this rotation, transfer, and promotion is a strategic step in strengthening employee career management. The rotation, transfer, and promotion are also expected to encourage performance improvement in order to realise the work plan, vision, and mission of the Prosecutor’s Office.
“A position is not merely a rank, honour, or power, but rather a mandate and a form of leadership trust that must be safeguarded and accounted for with integrity, professionalism, and loyalty,” said ST Burhanuddin during his address at the inauguration in the 11th Floor Hall of the Main Building of the Attorney General’s Office, South Jakarta, Tuesday (11/8/2026).
In his address, Burhanuddin also highlighted the organisational dynamics currently being experienced within the Prosecutor’s Office. He said that this inauguration moment is particularly special because it takes place at a time when the Prosecutor’s Office is undergoing a period of trial, rather than being in a state of praise.
At this moment, Burhanuddin instructed all new officials to work with their best energy, thoughts, and abilities. This was emphasised so that all Adhyaksa personnel can restore the institution’s dignity and strengthen public trust once again.
“Give serious attention to the handling of cases that directly affect the livelihoods of the wider community, as well as cases that have a major impact on state finances and the economy,” said Burhanuddin.
He also requested that the High Prosecutor’s Offices and District Prosecutor’s Offices take a role in handling strategic corruption cases professionally and responsibly. This is so that corruption handling can be evenly distributed, rather than being centralised at the Attorney General’s Office.
He reminded that public scrutiny and attention on the performance of the Prosecutor’s Office is currently very high. Therefore, he stressed that all Adhyaksa personnel must always maintain integrity and avoid all forms of disgraceful conduct that could tarnish the institution’s reputation.
“The oath of office that has been taken must be interpreted as a sacred promise and a responsibility that will later be held accountable to the state, society, and God Almighty,” said the Attorney General.
On this occasion, Burhanuddin also directed the High Prosecutors to adapt quickly and identify the dynamics of problems in their respective work areas swiftly, accurately, and proportionally. He stated that law enforcement in the regions is urged to be carried out quietly, calmly, measurably, and without causing counterproductive commotion.
“The High Prosecutors are a reflection and representation of the Prosecutor’s Office institution in the regions,” he said.
Burhanuddin also instructed the High Prosecutors to build solid synergy with the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda). This is to maintain regional stability without sacrificing the institution’s independence.
“Public transparency must also be strengthened through the active and continuous publication of performance achievements. Internally, direct supervision (waskat) must be strictly enhanced so that there is no room for abuse of authority, and every indication of violation must be dealt with firmly in stages in accordance with laws and regulations,” said Burhanuddin.
“Officials in the regions are also required to always maintain exemplary personal and family integrity through a simple, firm, and responsible lifestyle,” he added.
Meanwhile, for the Echelon II officials, the Attorney General instructed them to immediately study and master all new duties, functions, and authorities in accordance with applicable regulations. The Echelon II officials were also asked to immediately conduct a comprehensive evaluation of performance in their respective work units.
“All Echelon II ranks are expected to provide full support for the strategic policies of the Prosecutor’s Office by always adhering to the principles of good governance,” he explained.
The Attorney General also expressed appreciation and gratitude to the previous officials for their dedication and service during their tenure. Thanks were also conveyed to the wives of the Adhyaksa Dharma Karini Association management for their loyalty and support.
“Like the sun, a position will surely set, but the light of service will always shine. May every step we take be of worship value, every mandate we fulfil bring blessings, and every kindness we plant become a trail of glory until the end of life,” he concluded.
The inauguration was also attended by the Chairman of the Indonesian Prosecutor’s Commission Prof Pujiyono Suwadi, Deputy Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia Prof Asep N. Mulyana, the Junior Attorneys General, Heads of Agencies, Expert Staff to the Attorney General, Chairman of the Attorney General’s Expert Team Barita Simanjuntak, as well as the Chairperson of the Adhyaksa Dharma Karini Association along with all administrators and Echelon II officials of the Attorney General’s Office.
