Attorney General Hands Over Rp 1.02 Trillion in Auctioned Asset Proceeds to Finance Minister, Including Those of Eddy Tansil
The Attorney General’s Office has handed over non-tax state revenue (PNBP) funds amounting to Rp 1.029 trillion to the Ministry of Finance during a ceremony at the Asset Recovery Agency (BPA) office in Kebagusan, South Jakarta, on Monday, 15 June 2026. Attorney General ST Burhanuddin presented the funds directly to Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa as part of the institution’s asset recovery optimisation efforts. Burhanuddin stated that the sum deposited into the state treasury this time exceeded Rp 1 trillion. “Today, we will hand over to the Finance Minister a total of Rp 1,029,874,376,628,” Burhanuddin said. He noted the funds were accumulated from various asset recovery activities carried out by the BPA throughout the current period. The largest contribution came from asset sales conducted during the BPA Fair 2026, which generated Rp 978.1 billion for the state. In addition to auction proceeds, the Attorney General’s Office also secured assets in the form of land and buildings valued at approximately Rp 30.9 billion. Another source stemmed from the successful tracing of assets related to Eddy Tansil, a convict in the Bank Bapindo corruption and bad credit case, with recovered assets recorded at around Rp 51.6 billion. On the same occasion, the Attorney General’s Office also distributed proceeds from asset sales to entitled victims, totalling approximately Rp 19.1 billion. Burhanuddin emphasised that the asset recovery measures aim not only to return state losses but also to strengthen contributions to state revenue through the non-tax revenue scheme.
