Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanudin has carried out a rotation and mutation of high-ranking officials in the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung), extending to Heads of Regional Prosecutors’ Offices (Kajati) and District Prosecutors’ Offices (Kajari).

This rotation and mutation is outlined in the Decree of the Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia Numbers 347 and 488 of 2026, dated 13 April 2026, as confirmed by the Head of the Legal Information Centre of Kejagung, Anang Supriatna.

In the decree, the Attorney General has rotated Harli Siregar from Kajati North Sumatra (Sumut). The former Head of the Centre for Criminal Policy returns to the centre to become Inspector III at the Deputy Attorney General for Supervision of the Attorney General’s Office.

Meanwhile, the vacant position of Kajati Sumut will be filled by Muhibuddin, who previously served as Kajati West Sumatra.

Additionally, Agus Sahat Sampe Tua Lumban Gaol has been rotated from his previous position as Kajati East Java. He has been promoted to Secretary of the Deputy Attorney General for General Criminal Affairs at the Attorney General’s Office.

After Sahat’s departure, the position of Kajati East Java is now held by Abdul Qohar, who previously served as Kajati Southeast Sulawesi.

Furthermore, the Attorney General has rotated Hermon Dekristo, Kajati West Java, to become Secretary of the Deputy Attorney General for Military Criminal Affairs at the Attorney General’s Office. Meanwhile, the position of Kajati West Java will be filled by Sutikno, who previously served as Kajati Riau.

In addition to Kajati positions, the Attorney General has rotated Riono Budisantoso from Director of Prosecution at the Special Crimes Division of the Attorney General’s Office to become Kajati Bangka Belitung.

Danke Rajagukguk Removed from Kajari Karo

Burhanuddin has also officially removed Danke Rajagukguk from his position as Kajari Karo. In the decree, the Attorney General has appointed Edmond Novvery Purba as the new Kajari Karo.

This removal was carried out by the Attorney General following a corruption case involving videographer Amsal Christy Sitepu that had stirred public attention.

Prosecutors assessed that the proposal submitted by Amsal to the village heads was not properly compiled and tended to be marked up. Additionally, the implementation of the work was deemed not in accordance with the Bill of Quantities (RAB).

Each video project was reportedly set at a cost of Rp30 million per village. According to prosecutors, from ideation to editing and dubbing for the production of village profile videos, no costs were incurred.

Meanwhile, the panel of judges at the Medan District Court acquitted Amsal Christy Sitepu of all charges brought by the prosecutors. According to the judges, Amsal was not proven guilty in a lawful and convincing manner of committing the criminal offence as alleged by the public prosecutor, both in the primary and subsidiary charges.

On the other hand, the case led Danke and the team at the Karo District Prosecutors’ Office to hold a meeting with Commission III of the DPR some time ago.
