Attorney General ST Burhanuddin has appointed Jaksa Agung Muda Pengawasan (Jamwas) Rudi Margono as the acting Jaksa Agung Muda Tindak Pidana Khusus (Jampidsus). This follows the resignation of Febrie Adriansyah from the post. Head of the Legal Information Centre Anang Supriatna stated that the appointment was made to ensure the continuity of duties, functions, and authority within the Jampidsus until a definitive official is appointed. The appointment was formalised through Attorney General’s Decree Number: PRINT-76/A/JA/07/2026. Anang emphasised that the leadership change would not affect law enforcement processes, which will continue to be handled professionally, independently, and in accordance with statutory regulations. The move comes after a joint investigative team from the Metro Jaya Police and the Police’s Corruption Eradication Task Force searched several locations related to alleged corruption and money laundering in the coal, Asabri, and Krakatau Steel cases. One of the locations searched was a house in Sentul, Bogor Regency, where investigators found a hidden large safe containing gold. Febrie Adriansyah acknowledged the house was his and claimed he could explain the origin of the assets. He resigned as Jampidsus early on Saturday, less than 12 hours after holding a press conference addressing the police investigations. Margono later confirmed that Febrie had been named a suspect.
