Attorney General ST Burhanuddin officially inaugurated several high-ranking officials within the Attorney General’s Office. In this inauguration, Asep Nana Mulyana assumed the post of Deputy Attorney General, and the position of Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) was officially filled by Kuntadi.

The inauguration ceremony for these high-ranking officials was held at the Attorney General’s Office Main Building in Jakarta on Friday (24/7/2026). The ceremony was based on a Presidential Decree signed by President Prabowo Subianto, following a proposal from the Attorney General.

Following the ceremony, Deputy Attorney General Asep Nana Mulyana stated that his new role is a mandate to oversee the various strategic policies established by the Attorney General. “This certainly carries many implications, especially for us newly appointed officials, to implement the policy directions set by the Attorney General,” Asep Nana told reporters.

Asep stressed the importance of synergy and coordination, both within the Adhyaksa Corps and across different sectors. He noted that this is necessary to face the increasingly complex challenges of law enforcement in the future. “We have been asked by him (the Attorney General) to continue building synergy and coordination across fields, including internally, for the execution of our duties going forward,” he said.

Furthermore, Asep acknowledged the high public expectations of the Attorney General’s Office. He therefore committed to realising law enforcement that is fair, firm, yet retains a sense of humanity. “We ask for support and prayers from our media colleagues and the public for our future duties, which we believe will become increasingly heavy. We want to continue creating law enforcement that is firm on one hand, but also humane on the other, in order to provide good legal services to the public,” he concluded.
