Jakarta (ANTARA) - Attorney General Sanitiar Burhanuddin has affirmed that he will not tolerate employees of the Republic of Indonesia Prosecutor’s Office who are subjected to disciplinary punishment.

This statement was delivered by the Attorney General in his address while leading the inauguration and oath-taking ceremony for Heads of High Prosecutor’s Offices and Echelon II Officials at the Main Building of the Attorney General’s Office, Jakarta, on Wednesday.

Quoting an official statement, the Attorney General said that rotations, mutations, and promotions are sacred moments that carry the meaning of a pledge to God, society, and the state to devote one’s abilities optimally.

These positions are not merely rights or authorities, but strategic tools to address the challenges of the times and lead change towards improvement.

He expressed concern over the continued occurrence of disciplinary violations by Prosecutor’s Office employees.

“Regarding integrity issues, I am concerned about data showing active employees who have been subjected to disciplinary punishment up to April 2026,” he said.

He also required the new leaders to conduct tight and consistent inherent supervision, with the principle that responsibility for the actions of each member lies entirely with the respective work unit leaders.

In closing his address, Burhanuddin invited all officials to interpret this mandate as if it were their final assignment, to be approached with hard work, smart work, and work from the heart.

“Give your best. Not because of job demands, but as a manifestation of personal integrity and honour. Demonstrate performance that not only meets targets but leaves a meaningful legacy of service that will be remembered as a real contribution to the institution, nation, and state,” he stated.
