Attention! CFD at Rasuna Said on 28 June Cancelled
Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has stated that the Motor Vehicle Free Day (HBKB) or Car Free Day (CFD) event in the Jalan HR Rasuna Said area, Kuningan, South Jakarta, will be temporarily cancelled on Sunday, 28 June 2026. The policy was taken to concentrate the crowd and security for the peak celebration of Jakarta’s 499th anniversary and Bhayangkara Day along the Sudirman-Thamrin axis. “Because all activities are centred on Sudirman-Thamrin, the Car Free Day in Kuningan or Rasuna Said on the 28th is cancelled so that everything is concentrated at one point,” Pramono told reporters at Jakarta City Hall on Friday, 26 June 2026. Pramono admitted he had received reports that there would be a surge in visitors not only from residents of the capital but also from satellite cities such as Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi. Moreover, public figures will be performing in the series of events. “I have received reports that people from around Jakarta, whether from Bogor, Bekasi, Tangerang, South Tangerang, and even some from far outside the city, will want to attend the DKI anniversary event, which will be attended by several public figures and musical performers with quite well-known names,” he revealed. In addition, Pramono also announced a special fare policy for public transport users on 27-28 June. He said all public transport modes under the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will only be charged a fare of Rp1 for all Indonesian citizens. “All transport is one rupiah, including facilities owned by the DKI Jakarta government such as Ragunan, Ancol, museums, and sports halls, we are making them free,” he concluded.
