Attending Handover of Rp10.2 Trillion from Forest Enforcement Task Force, Prabowo: Don't See It as a Show!
Jakarta, VIVA – President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto witnessed the handover of administrative fine proceeds amounting to Rp10.2 trillion and 2.3 million hectares of land from the Forest Area Enforcement Task Force (Satgas PKH), which was submitted by the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) to the state.
Prabowo expressed his pleasure in attending the handover event of such administrative fine results as presented by Satgas PKH.
“I am happy to be invited to events like this continuously. Every invitation, I see physically Rp10 trillion,” said Prabowo in his speech at the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) building, on Wednesday, 13 May 2026.
Prabowo then requested that this handover event of fine results not be regarded merely as a ceremony. According to him, events like this serve as proof of the government’s firmness in addressing violations in forest areas.
“I think, colleagues, events like this should not be considered just ceremonies or shows. But in my view, my conviction, the Indonesian nation, the Indonesian people, have reached a stage where our people want to see evidence,” he stated.
He then conveyed his appreciation for the performance of Satgas PKH, which has worked hard to address various violations in forest areas.
“On behalf of the state and nation, on behalf of the government, on behalf of all Indonesian people, I convey my thanks to all members of the Forest Area Enforcement Task Force,” explained Prabowo.
Previously reported, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin handed over the administrative fine results from the Forest Area Enforcement Task Force (PKH) to Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.
The fines handed over amounted to Rp10.2 trillion and 2.3 million hectares of land. The handover took place at the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) on Wednesday, 13 May 2026.
President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto directly witnessed the handover of the confiscated funds from the Satgas PKH’s work.
“We report and hand over the funds from the follow-up enforcement of forest areas by Satgas PKH to the state through the Ministry of Finance, totalling Rp10.2 trillion to be deposited into the state treasury,” said the Attorney General.
He explained that these fine proceeds will be used for PBB (land and building tax) and non-PBB taxes. According to him, this handover of funds is not just ceremonial but evidence of the work of Satgas PKH.
