Jakarta - Andre Fernando Tjhandra (32), alias The Doctor, discarded his mobile phone during his escape in Malaysia.

Director of Narcotics Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, explained this in a press statement on Tuesday (7/4/2026).

Andre discarded the phone on the toll road from Kuala Lumpur to Selangor to erase his tracks.

He did this as soon as he learned that he had been added to the wanted persons list (DPO) or become a fugitive.

“A joint team from Dittipidnarkoba Bareskrim Polri and Jatranin Divhubinter Polri has cooperated with Interpol since 5 March 2026 in an operation to locate and arrest the DPO named Andre Fernando alias The Doctor,” said Brig Gen Eko.

“Who is a narcotics supplier in the Erwin Iskandar network in Bima, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), and the narcotics distribution network at Whiterabbit, suspected of fleeing to Malaysia,” he added.

Andre supplied drugs to Ko Erwin, who paid Rp 2.8 billion to former Bima City Police Chief Didik Putra Kuncoro.

Police stated that Andre also supplied drugs to the Whiterabbit nightclub in Jakarta.

In March, police raided Whiterabbit Gatot Subroto Club and Private Suites. The club’s director became a suspect.

In brief, the drug dealer at the location, Ikha Novita Sari alias Mami Mika, obtained supplies from Andre.

“The individual (Ikha) obtained narcotics supplies from someone named Andre Fernando, who introduced himself with the alias Charlie,” said Eko.

It was later discovered that Andre was also connected to Ko Erwin, the drug lord in the AKBP Didik case.
