ATR/BPN to Accelerate Lippo Cikarang Land Grant Process for 3 Million Homes Programme
The government has received a commitment for a 30-hectare land grant from PT Lippo Cikarang in the Meikarta area to support the 3 Million Houses programme.
The Minister of Agraria and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Nusron Wahid, ensured that the Ministry of ATR/BPN will accelerate the grant process so that the land can be utilised immediately.
The commitment to the land grant was marked by the signing of documents held at Wisma Danantara, Jakarta, on Monday (29/6).
“On behalf of the government, we express our gratitude to PT Lippo Cikarang for this land grant commitment. Hopefully, this step can serve as an example for other private parties to follow. Therefore, we are committed to accelerating the grant process so that parties wishing to assist the government are not discouraged by excessively long processes,” said Nusron in his statement on Monday (29/6/2026).
As a concrete step to accelerate the grant process, the Ministry of ATR/BPN will immediately coordinate with the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) of the Ministry of Finance and relevant parties to finalise the grant administration. This will ensure the granted land can be promptly used for the construction of community housing.
“God willing, tomorrow we will immediately hold a meeting with our officials alongside colleagues from the DJKN. We will review the documents; hopefully, it will be completed in less than a month. As long as the underlying data is clean and clear, whatever we can implement, we will implement immediately,” Nusron emphasised.
The land grant commitment document was signed by several ministers of the Red and White Cabinet, the Chairman of the Danantara Investment Management Agency, and the Board of Directors of PT Lippo Group. The plan is to build low-cost flats for low-income communities on the land located in the Meikarta area, Cikarang.
This initiative serves as a form of support for the 3 Million Houses programme, which is one of President Prabowo Subianto’s priority programmes to improve public access to decent housing.
