ATR/BPN States State-Seized Assets Will Be Used for Public Services
The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Agrables Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Dalu Agung Darmawan, explained that state-seized assets from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) handed over to the Ministry of ATR/BPN will be utilised to support official duties and public services.
“The handover of these assets is something we need to support services to the community, both directly and indirectly,” Dalu stated in a briefing in Jakarta on Wednesday.
According to him, the Ministry of ATR/BPN received these state-seized goods from the KPK through a formal determination of usage status. “Therefore, we appreciate the KPK regarding this matter. Hopefully, this will be very beneficial in supporting even better services,” he added.
The handover includes a plot of land in Banjaragung Village, Puri District, Mojokerto Regency, East Java, measuring 134 square metres and valued at Rp143 million, as well as one unit of a Daihatsu F700RG TS AT minibus valued at Rp50 million. The total value of the assets received reaches Rp763 million.
Dalu explained that the land and buildings could be used to meet official needs, including supporting employees who require official residential facilities. The use of these assets will also be assessed to support office operations, such as the construction of archive buildings or other supporting infrastructure. “We will monitor the developments,” he said.
The Director of Asset Tracing, Management of Evidence, and Execution (Labuksi) at the KPK, Mungki Hadipamin, stated that the utilisation of state-seized goods by ministries and agencies serves as another form of benefit from the handling of corruption criminal cases.
“The Chairperson of the KPK left a message: regarding these assets, please install signage stating that these are the results of KPK case handling. The purpose is to educate the public that handling cases is not solely about punishing perpetrators, but can also provide benefits to the community, albeit indirectly, through ministries and agencies,” he said.
The handover of state-seized goods this time was marked by the signing of the official minutes and the handover of ownership certificates by the Director of Labuksi KPK to the Secretary-General of ATR/BPN.
