ATR/BPN Seeks Superior Human Resources Through New Cadet Selection for STPN
The Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) is seeking superior human resources through the 2026/2027 New Cadet Selection (SPTB) for the Agrarian Polytechnic of the National Land College (STPN). Participants who pass will be prepared to become land and spatial planning professionals who can contribute to Indonesia’s development. ‘We must be optimistic that whoever becomes a cadet candidate at the Agrarian Polytechnic STPN is truly among the nation’s best sons and daughters,’ said Head of the Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) of the Ministry of ATR/BPN, Agustyarsyah, in a statement in Jakarta on Friday. He noted that the SPTB for the 2026/2027 Academic Year is being held in two locations: the Agrarian Polytechnic STPN Campus in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) and the BPSDM of the Ministry of ATR/BPN in Cikeas, Bogor Regency. The selection in DIY runs from 1 to 4 July, while the one at BPSDM is only held on 2 July 2026. ‘The number of applicants to the Agrarian Polytechnic STPN increases every year. As more participants pass the administrative stage, the capacity in Yogyakarta becomes increasingly limited. Therefore, we are utilising the BPSDM facility in Cikeas so that the selection process can run smoothly,’ he said. According to Agustyarsyah, holding the selection in two locations also aims to maintain the quality, objectivity, and integrity of the examination using the Computer Based Test (CBT) method. Although the hope is that the selection can be held in more regions, the expansion of locations will be carried out gradually, considering the readiness of infrastructure, systems, and supervisory mechanisms to ensure the quality of implementation is maintained. ‘In the future, we hope to establish several selection zones in various regions of Indonesia. However, for now, we are prioritising professional and easily supervised implementation so that the quality of the selection is maintained,’ he added. Based on collected data, 2,114 participants took the CBT-based selection, with 1,405 participants at the Agrarian Polytechnic STPN Campus in DIY and 709 participants at BPSDM Cikeas. The selection materials include the Academic Potential Test (TPA), General Potential Test (TPU), and agrarian sector materials. The CBT results are scheduled to be announced on 9 July 2026. Participants who pass will proceed to the health, physical fitness, and interview tests on 13-15 July 2026. The final graduation announcement for the 2026/2027 Academic Year SPTB will be made on 22 July 2026. Successful participants will undergo online re-registration, enter the dormitory on 21 August 2026, participate in the New Cadet Campus Life Introduction (PKKTB) on 24-27 August 2026, and begin lectures on 31 August 2026.
