ATR/BPN Seeks Superior Human Resources Through New Cadet Selection for STPN
The Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) is recruiting superior human resources through the 2026/2027 New Cadet Recruitment Selection (SPTB) for the STPN Agrarian Polytechnic. Successful participants are being prepared to become land and spatial planning professionals capable of contributing to Indonesia’s development.
“We must be optimistic that whoever becomes a prospective cadet of the STPN Agrarian Polytechnic will truly be the nation’s best sons and daughters,” said the Head of the Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) of the Ministry of ATR/BPN, Agustyarsyah, in a statement in Jakarta on Friday.
According to him, the SPTB for the 2026/2027 Academic Year is being held in two locations: the STPN Agrarian Polytechnic Campus in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) and the Ministry of ATR/BPN BPSDM in Cikeas, Bogor Regency. For the selection in DIY, the process takes place from 1–4 July, while the BPSDM location will host the selection only on 2 July 2026.
“The number of applicants for the STPN Agraria Polytechnic increases every year. As the number of participants passing the administrative stage grows, capacity in Yogyakarta naturally becomes more limited. Therefore, we are utilising the BPSDM facilities in Cikeas so that the selection process can proceed smoothly,” he said.
Agustyarsyah noted that holding the selection in two locations also aims to maintain the quality, objectivity, and integrity of the examination through a Computer Based Test (CBT) method. Although there is a hope that selection can be conducted in more regions, the expansion of locations will be carried out gradually, considering infrastructure readiness, systems, and supervision mechanisms to ensure quality is maintained.
“In the future, we hope to establish several selection zones across various regions of Indonesia. However, at present, we are prioritising professional execution that is easy to supervise so that the quality of the selection remains preserved,” he added.
Based on collected data, there are 2,114 participants taking the CBT-based selection, with 1,405 participants at the STPN Agraria Polytechnic Campus in DIY and 709 participants at BPSDM Cikeas. The selection material includes the Academic Potential Test (TPA), General Potential Test (TPU), and agrarian-related subject matter.
The CBT selection results are scheduled to be announced on 9 July 2026. Participants declared successful will proceed to the health, physical fitness, and interview stages from 13–15 July 2026. Subsequently, the final graduation announcement for the 2026/2027 SPTB will be made on 22 July 2026. Successful participants will undergo an online re-registration process, move into the dormitory on 21 August 2026, participate in the New Cadet Campus Life Introduction (PKKTB) from 24–27 August 2026, and begin lectures on 31 August 2026.
