ATR/BPN focuses 2027 budget on food security and land certification
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Agraria and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) is preparing its programmes and budget for the 2027 Fiscal Year to support the implementation of national priority work programmes, ranging from food security to land certification for low-income communities (MBR).
“The Ministry of ATR/BPN is committed to ensuring that land and spatial planning policies in 2027 can provide a real contribution to achieving national development priorities and benefits that are directly felt by the community,” stated the Secretary General of ATR/BPN, Dalu Agung Darmawan, in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Dalu explained that the Ministry of ATR/BPN’s programmes and budget for 2027 are directed not only to support national development but also to address the needs of the community.
According to him, the plan is focused on food security programmes, land certification for low-income communities, achieving energy and water independence, providing land for educational and health facilities, strengthening industrial downstreaming, housing development, and disaster-resilient spatial planning.
To implement these, the Ministry of ATR/BPN will utilise land and spatial planning instruments through asset legalisation, land acquisition, spatial planning, and land redistribution.
“For National Priority Work Programmes, ATR/BPN’s support includes food sovereignty through the protection of agricultural land and Agrarian Reform, specifically for low-income communities,” he said.
Furthermore, he explained that to support government efforts in reducing poverty and strengthening the community’s economy, the Ministry of ATR/BPN will provide support through land redistribution, asset legalisation, and community empowerment.
In line with these developments, the Ministry of ATR/BPN is committed to resolving land conflicts to create legal certainty and provide space for the community to develop their assets and economic activities.
“Through the acceleration of land registration and certification, asset legalisation, and facilitation alongside local governments, we aim to provide legal certainty and increase the economic value of community assets,” he added.
