Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Agraria and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) has ensured that services to the public at the East Java Regional Office (Kanwil) BPN continue to operate normally following activities conducted by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

“Regarding land services, everything is proceeding as usual,” said the Head of the Bureau of Public Relations and Protocol, Uunk Din Parunggi, when contacted in Jakarta on Monday.

He ensured that all services to the public remain operational as normal, and the public is encouraged to access services by visiting the offices independently.

Uunk advised those processing certificates or land documents not to trust brokers (calo) who promise expedited processing of documents.

“The public does not need to worry about coming directly, as they will certainly receive good service. Please endeavour to come personally and do not use intermediaries or services that promise acceleration or ease,” he said.

Uunk explained that the Ministry is not turning a blind eye, and the series of recent events serves as material for evaluation and introspection to implement improvements so that similar incidents do not recur.

“We certainly respect the investigation process being conducted by our colleagues at the KPK; we will be cooperative and follow all procedures,” he added.

As a preventive measure, he stated that leadership always reminds all staff to serve the public according to established procedures, ensuring there are no levies outside of applicable regulations, and to constantly uphold the integrity of the Ministry of ATR/BPN.

KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that the anti-corruption agency discovered the accounts during a search of the East Java BPN Regional Office on 24 September 2026, related to alleged corruption within the Ministry of Agraria and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN).

“In addition to finding a sum of money and jewellery, investigators also found several ATMs, the accounts of which were used to facilitate alleged deposits made by Land Offices (Kantah) BPN within the East Java Regional Office environment,” Budi said at the KPK Red and White Building, Jakarta, on Monday.
