Flower arrangements are increasingly adorning the streets around the funeral home of Captain Inf Zulmi Aditya Iskandar in Cimahi, West Java. Mourners are arriving in greater numbers to offer condolences to the bereaved family.

Captain Zulmi was part of the East Mobile Reserve (SEMR). He fell in the line of duty while escorting a UNIFIL vehicle convoy in southern Lebanon on Monday (30/3/2026).

The family is currently awaiting updates on the plans for repatriating the late Captain Zulmi. There is no certainty yet on when the remains of the 33-year-old TNI soldier will arrive back in the homeland.

“Yes, we are still waiting for information from the relevant authorities regarding the repatriation plans for our dear Zulmi. We hope that in one or two days we can receive his body at the funeral home,” said Captain Zulmi’s cousin, Risman Efendi, as reported by detikJabar on Wednesday (1/4).

Risman stated that, based on the latest information received by the family, the government is still processing the repatriation of Captain Zulmi’s body from southern Lebanon.

“Yes, the last information we received was that the body has been evacuated to a hospital in Lebanon. So now we are still waiting for the process to be flown here. Apparently, the flight also needs to be scheduled due to the conflict,” said Risman.

The family wishes for Captain Zulmi’s body to first be laid in state at the funeral home. Only then will it be collectively transported to TMP Cikutra in Bandung City.
