Atma Jaya Hospital strengthens character as teaching hospital
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Atma Jaya Hospital is strengthening its identity as a teaching and research hospital through a scientific seminar held in Jakarta on Saturday, as part of the hospital’s 50th-anniversary celebrations.
The scientific seminar was titled “Current Concepts in Comprehensive Musculoskeletal Care: Translating Advances in Orthopaedics into Patient-Centred Collaborative Practice.”
“This activity is part of the series of commemorations for the 50th Anniversary of Atma Jaya Hospital,” said the President Director of Atma Jaya Hospital, Maria Theresia Yulita, in Pluit, Jakarta, on Saturday.
She stated that the seminar serves as a manifestation of the teaching and research hospital’s commitment to supporting the enhancement of healthcare professional competencies. This, in turn, encourages the implementation of collaborative and patient-centred services.
Maria noted that through this seminar, the hospital aims to provide a space for sharing knowledge and experience so that the latest developments in the field of orthopaedics can be implemented in clinical practice, thereby continuously improving the quality of patient care.
She detailed that the seminar was attended by 130 doctors and participants seeking updates on developments in the diagnosis, management, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal patients, as well as the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration in improving treatment outcomes.
She added that the seminar is a scientific agenda within the 50th-anniversary celebrations of Atma Jaya Hospital, which carries the spirit of improving healthcare service quality through continuous education and the application of evidence-based practices.
She stated that Atma Jaya Hospital hopes more healthcare professionals will be able to adopt a comprehensive musculoskeletal care approach. This aims to ensure that the services provided are not only oriented towards curing diseases but also towards improving the patients’ quality of life.
Atma Jaya Hospital also launched Haematology-Oncology services, representing a step towards the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of blood disorders (haematology) and various types of cancer (oncology).
“In addition to the seminar, the Atma Jaya Hospital anniversary series also features social service activities, including free health check-ups and mass circumcision,” she said.
