At UN Session, Netanyahu Claims Iranian Regime Will Collapse
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the fall of the Iranian government is ‘only a matter of time’. He predicted that one day, the Iranian people ‘will be free’.
“Their bloodthirsty regime will be overthrown by its own lies, corruption, and cruelty. This evil regime will collapse, and we will all celebrate,” Netanyahu said during his speech at the UN, as reported by CNN on Friday (25/09/2026).
During his address, Netanyahu displayed Starlink satellite technology. He remarked that the Iranian leadership fears technology “which allows people to access the truth, make choices, and exercise freedom of thought and freedom of expression.”
The Israeli leader stated he would entrust the device to the assembly president to be handed over to the Iranian delegation, who were absent during his speech. It is noted that Netanyahu frequently employs gimmicks and visual props in his UN speeches to emphasise specific points, often relating to Iran.
Netanyahu also responded to protesters outside the UN building and international delegates who walked out of the room during his speech.
Netanyahu asked, “Where were you all when the Iranian tyrants were massacring and wounding tens of thousands of unarmed Iranian civilians?”
Furthermore, Netanyahu launched sharp criticism against other international parties. He accused European nations, which recently announced plans to implement sanctions against Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, of having succumbed to ‘antisemitic mobs’.
He also condemned Qatar, alleging that the country has spent countless billions of funds to spread lies about Israel.
Additionally, Netanyahu referred to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as a “tyrant”. According to him, Turkey has become a “primary spreader of antisemitic lies.”
Netlam Netanyahu accused Erdoğan of hosting Hamas leaders, imprisoning journalists and opposition figures, and occupying northern Cyprus.
